The Pine Barrens Golf Club is a private golf course located in Jackson, New Jersey.
The course runs 7,118 yards when playing from the championship tees. It carries a course rating of 74.2 and a slope rating of 133. The course contains two practice putting greens, as well as one bunker/chipping practice green. There are also nine practice greens to take shots out from a bent grass practice area.
All fairways are bent grass, as are all tees and greens. Blue grass is used for the rough on the course. The course gained fame for it's large amount of trees and sand bunkers. The primary trees on the course are pines, scrub oaks, mountain laurel and holly trees. The course is placed across 420 acres.
The course was listed in Golf Digest's list of the 100 best golf courses in the US for 2005-2006.... or so they say.
